Repeating motifs I unknown to me was setting myself up for the new symbol oriented paintings. Repitition leads to symbol in the enlarging and repeating.
Reductions result and they became symbolic images I began to juxtapose.
It started as usual that last summer in LI.
This image I'm using almost 20 years later.
I was also trying to push the still-life which filled in ideas the figure was involved with.
